History

Our law firm was founded in 1982 by Dr. iur. Wolfgang Ott as an individual law firm and since 2006 as a partnership with the partners Dr. iur. Christian Gerloff and Dr. iur. Marco Liebler. From the beginning, crisis situations at the interface of law and business have been a special focus of our practice, particularly in the insolvency environment.

Our firm has grown organically and has continuously developed. 

The focus has always been on issues relating to "the company in crisis". We derive our core competence from our work in numerous corporate insolvencies of all sizes, which we have restructured as insolvency administrators and, in modern insolvency law, as trustees or self-administrators. Thanks to this long-standing specialization, we have developed into one of the leading law firms in Germany in the legal fields of reorganization and insolvency and, against this background, we are the ideal contact for a restructuring process with the possibilities offered by the StaRUG, which came into force on January 1, 2021.

We are constantly developing this know-how by taking on new challenges and continuously upgrading our team with young colleagues.
